This just seems to be a fun-filled laptop project week. We have this small laptop table in a corner in our living room to avoid always sitting with the computer on our lap (it can be very harmful to man and woman: click here to read more). It works great for our needs, is tiny and can be stored easily. For the past few weeks it’s been holding a plant and when we moved it we realized there was a water leak and it semi-ruined the surface.
So, I fixed the problem. I took the table apart and covered just the top with a leftover piece of fabric. Done. Easiest project ever.
Anything can be used to secure the fabric, velcro, pushpins, even heavy duty tape. I thought about gluing it but I like the idea of being able to remove and wash it if need be. I also considered using a cute paper with mod podge, but I felt like that would get too sticky with the heat of the computer.
I ended up using some clear packing tape to secure it because I was out of pushpins and didn’t have sticky velcro. The tape works great and hasn’t loosened at all.

Is that the new sofa?! Wow I have to get over there..
